Astro B.yond IPTV Hollywood & Celebrities Night @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Oh yeah, it was a night of the stars. So many sparkles here and there,no doubt that Hollywood celebrities has touched down in Kuala Lumpur. I was lucky to be a part of this sparkly night, though humble lil-ol-me haven’t the time to dress up like the celebs present. I was awed, so many famous faces were there. Beyonce, Captain America, Princess Leia, Catwoman, Marilyn Manson, Britney Spears, back-from-the-dead Amy Winehouse and even Lady Gaga took some time to grace our event from her very busy schedule.

By the time I arrived with my mom, there were dozens of people already at the Astro B.yond IPTV Concept Store registering their names (or celeb name) before they were given a sticker to write slogan where the best slogan will walk away with an iPad 2! Who wouldn’t give a try to that right? After registering, we are free to roam in the Astro B.yond IPTV Concept Store to Discover, Connect and Experience the Astro B.yond IPTV at the specific zones.

I was feeling most comfortable and at home, especially near the “bedroom” set. *Sleep*

Then, it was time for the event to start where Mr. Eric Foo; Vice President, IPTV Sales & New Media Business made a few welcome speeches and introducing the Astro B.yond IPTV as well as the Concept Store to everyone. The Astro B.yond IPTV is most interesting because of its Astro content, High Definition channels, Personal Video Recording – AND broadband, AND a phone line – all integrated in one.

As were having our buffet, the MC of the night – Adam C walked around to ask some questions and those who answered correctly wins a goodie bag. But it doesn’t matter if you didn’t answer correctly coz Adam lets you check out the answers on his Q-card. He is MOST helpful! Right after that, there was a game, like in many Nuffnang events, it is incomplete if there’s no group game. Each team consist of 5 people and they have to figure out Who Kidnapped Kak Limah. They’ll have to go to 5 point-area near the vicinity of the concept store and question 5 of the suspects to find out who was the kidnapper. The winning group will win Jusco’s Gift Voucher worth RM500!

I didn’t join the game though. I was still busy eating when the game started. So, I ended up watching the first half of the football game between Arsenal and Chelsea on the HD TV. Impressive! (the game and the clarity too)

Check out the clarity of the movie above. Even though my hands was a little shaky, the picture is still very sharp right? A combination of Astro B.yond IPTV and a HD TV, this is how good your favourite shows or movies will look like!

Not forgetting to mention, there’s also a competition for Best Dressed Female and Best Dressed Male that night. Yeah, I only went as my fabulous self so I decided to just let others take my place.. *evil laugh*

There were so many costumes but only 10 were chosen (5 females & 5 males). And the winners are… *drumroll*

Lady Gaga is a dude – all this time on the world wide web people are speculating that Lady Gaga is a guy and I didn’t believe it until I saw it with my own eyes! He was so cool, he even wore high-heeled shoes throughout the whole event. But it is all worth it because winner of the Best Dressed Female & Male category brings home a Sony Bravia 32″ TV. Congratulations you two!!
